Main activity Fuel Cell Components

Dana's exhibit will feature crucial innovations to support the introduction of next-generation vehicles and provide components and sub-systems that will help to commercialize portable and stationary fuel cells. These technologies include:

  • Stack components. Dana is developing unique mass production processes to provide lightweight and durable stainless steel or molded composite bi- polar plate assemblies with integrated seals and connectors. These plate assemblies also benefit from Dana's patented end cap, designed to effectively address stack load issues.

  • Balance-of-plant solutions. Dana provides thermal management solutions, such as water condensers, pre-heaters, stainless steel heat exchangers, and complete cooling modules. Some advanced modules feature Dana's new family of electric brushed or brushless pumps that can be integrated with electronic control valves and a variable-speed fan.

  • Fuel-processor products. Dana is leveraging its core product knowledge, engineering expertise, and unique capabilities with high temperature materials in order to provide solutions for fuel-processor developers.

Dana people design and manufacture products for every major vehicle producer in the world. Dana is focused on being an essential partner to automotive, commercial, and off-highway vehicle customers, which collectively produce more than 60 million vehicles every year. A leading supplier of drivetrain, chassis, structural, and engine technologies, Dana employs 46,000 people in 28 countries. The company is based in Toledo, Ohio, and reported sales of $9 billion in 2004. Dana's Internet address is http://www.dana.com.
