Birkenfeld's Fuel Cell Centre offers all R&D services related to PEM fuel cells. In-situ characterization (active metal surface, resistance, water balance, current mapping) is carried out in single cells and stacks (up to 6kW) in order to assist customers in the development of PEMFC components such as membranes, GDEs, and bipolar plates.
The Centre is also active in the development of fuel cell sensors (CO, H2, Methanol) and remote power systems with (propane) reformer (1.5kW) or DMFC technology (10W).
